National Educational Program Co-Created by Famed, Award-Winning Magician Michael Ammar Teaches Essential Life Skills to 6-12 Year Olds

Discover Magic is an innovative national educational program specially designed to teach communication skills and other positive life skills to 6 through 12 year old young people through the process of learning to perform magic. The organization has announced that Alcuin School will be one of the Dallas sites with classes running during their Summer 2018 Summer Camps. Classes will be led by Dal and Cinde Sanders and the Dallas Magic Academy instructors.

Studies have shown practicing the art of magic helps students to build key qualities like self-discipline, self-confidence and interpersonal abilities.  In fact, scientists frequently study magicians’ techniques to gain new insight into how the human mind works.  The Discover Magic course is an educational program specifically designed to teach not just magic, but how to interact successfully with other people. In fact, it’s best described as a life skills course camouflaged to look like a magic lesson. Kids become so engrossed and entertained in learning and performing the magic tricks they don’t realize they’re also developing incredibly valuable communication skills. Indeed, many opportunities for performing magic tricks arise later in adulthood, whether as an ice breaker for a businessman or a doctor who uses magic tricks to put their young patients at ease.

Every Discover Magic class features custom created props, one of the Traits of a True Magician, Top Secret Private files for every child and even special Bonus material the kids can unlock with a secret code after class. The tricks taught are specially designed for small hands and first time learners, that will not only fool adults, but will develop and unlock exciting possibilities in every child.

Dal Sanders has been studying and performing the art of magic as a full time professional for almost forty years and has performed across the United States and overseas in China, Portugal, The United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil. He has headlined his own illusion shows and shared the stage with many of entertainment’s top acts. His wife Cinde, has also been performing magic for children for over 25 years.

Dal is a Past President of The Society of American Magicians, the oldest and most prestigious magic organization in the world. The organization also includes Harry Houdini, Howard Thurston and others as Past National Presidents. He has been awarded the title of M.I.M.C. from The Magic Circle in London and Order of Willard for T.A.O.M. Dal is also a member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians, a member of The Academy of Magical Arts (The Magic Castle) and is a Charter Member of KIDabra International.

He is also well known for his educational school shows on several subjects including Reading, Character Building, Leadership, Self Esteem, Science, Drug Prevention, Ecology and Being a Good Friend…Not a Bully. In fact, there are many entertainers worldwide who regularly perform Dal Sanders’ routines in their own educational shows

Dal Sanders along with his wife Cinde are the hosts of the new nationally franchised television show KARTOON CIRCUS. Dal has also performed on international television as a feature entertainer on several Mrs. International Beauty Pageants, television commercials and was recently featured on a Comedy Central Special. Dal will also appear in the upcoming feature comedy film Hidden in the Heart of Texas.

Dal has taught magic to children for over 30 years and is delighted to join the Discover Magic Team. “In all the years I have taught magic to kids, I have never seen a program that combines the teaching of the tricks with the development of positive communication,” Sanders said. “It is as if the developers of this program got into my head and combined the positive messages I share in my educational school shows with a magic based curriculum.”

Michael Ammar has been called “One of the World’s Most Influential Magicians” by Magic Magazine.  He has received six awards from the Academy of Magical Arts (Oscars of the magic world) and an F.I.S.M.
